Kenneth was a loyal member of the First united Brethren Church and was faithful to his Sunday school and the Young People’s Society. He was taken ill several weeks ago and all was done for him that could be done and his was a case which baffled physicians. It terminated in rheumatis septicemia. This proves life is uncertain, the young as well as the aged must answer the summons. Kenneth Deatsman, youngest son of E. S. and Millie Deatsman, was born in Lake Odessa, September 4th, 1905, and passed away at the Hastings hospital, March 18th, 1925, aged 19 years, 6 months and 14 days. His early boyhood days were spent in a happy home with his parents until five years ago death entered the home and in three short weeks he was left an orphan. Since that time he has made his home wit his elder brother, Forrest. Five years ago under the services of the Newell Brothers he was converted, uniting with the First United Brethren Church. He was a member of the Christian Endeavor, and Sunday School class. He leaves to mourn his departure two brothers, Forrest and family, and Eddie, besides uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Spafford, his pastor, preached and a male quartette composed of Messrs Wm. and Leon Gilson, George Kart and Merlin Morgan. Burial was at Lake Side beside his parents.
