DeCamp, 63, operator of a garage at Woodbuy for the past 40 years, died Friday at 1:10 a.m. in Pennock hospital, Hastings. He was hospitalized three weeks but had been in ill health several years. A lifelong resident of that area, Mr. DeCamp was born January 8, 1897 in Odessa township, the son of Cleophas and Susan Dilley DeCamp. He was a member of the Lake Odessa IOOF lodge and of the Bismark Methodist church. In 1929 he was married to Iva Booher of Woodland, who survives. Besides his wife he leaves two brothers, Robert DeCamp of Nashville and Hugh of Imlay City; nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held at the Pickens funeral chapel Monday at 1:30 p.m. with burial at Lakeside cemetery. The Rev. Glen Rairigh of Sunfield and Rev. Howard Lindsay of Vermontville, pastor of Bismark church, will officiate. The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Tuesday, June 28, 1960 Funeral service for Forest G. DeCamp, 63, Woodbury, was held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa. Mr. DeCamp, who had owned and operated a garage in Woodbury 40 years, died Friday morning at Pennock hospital in Hastings. He had been in ill health several years. Rev. Glen Rairigh of Sunfield and the Rev. Howard Lindsay of Vermontville officiated and interment was at Lakeside cemetery. Bearers were Irol Wells, Glenn Teachout, Dorr Layle, Harold Funk, Arthur Statsick and Victor Eckardt.
