(Zuller) 1926 Sentinel Standard – Monday, 27 December 1926 Mrs. Addie A. Decker, 66, well-known resident of Ionia county for many years, died suddenly Monday morning at her home 412 ½ West Main street at about 5:30. It is thought that death was due to heart disease as Mrs. Decker was only ill about 10 minutes when death ensued. Mrs. Decker was the widow of Aaron Decker and the family lived for many years in the vicinity of Shiloh. Mr. Decker died several years ago. She was born in the state of New York. Mrs. Decker had been a resident (unreadable) since her sons entered into the grocery business in Ionia. Her grandson, Ralph Decker, a student at the Michigan State College at East Lansing lived with his grandmother and was with her at the time of her death. She is survived by two sons , Ora Decker, West Main Street, and Edward Decker who went to California last spring to make his home. She is also survived by several grandchildren and one brother, Willard Zuller of Greenville. Her grandson stated that she seemed to be well Sunday except she had a slight cold. Early Monday morning she awakened him and asked him to fix the fire. He then called another resident of the flat and a physician as his grandmother seemed to be unable to breathe. She had suffered from previous heart attacks. No funeral arrangements will be made until word is received from the son in California.
