She had been in failing health for some time, and seriously ill the past week or so. Funeral services were held at Neller funeral home Monday afternoon, and burial was in Portland cemetery. Rev. George Stanford officiated, and bearers were Elmar N. Green, Roy Buck, George Dilley, Arthur Megarah, Arthur L. Baker, Harry High. Mrs. Decker was born in New York State but had lived in Portland for 73 years, and was widely known in the community. She was the widow of James Decker, who was at one time owner of the Welch house, which was purchased by M. B. Divine and renamed hotel Divine in 1900. Mrs. Decker had long been a member of Portland Methodist church. Surviving is one granddaughter, Mrs. (unreadable) of Detroit, with whom (unreadable) had spent the past several winters, returning to Portland for the summer months. Mrs. Smith is the daughter of the late Cora Decker Doty. Mrs. Decker also had a son, Dower, who died several years ago.
