Decker, 80, died Wednesday at Robard Nursing Home at Mason. He had been ill several months. He was born October 31, 1874 at Orleans and was a resident of Sheridan for the last 38 years moving from Shiloh. He was station agent for the Pere Marquette Railroad for 45 years at Sheridan and Shiloh. Mr. Decker was a life member of the Palo Masonic lodge, the Knights Templar and O.E.S. In 1895 he was married to Alida Payne who preceded him in death in 1942. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Einer Hemmingsen of Lansing, Mrs. Harry Hill of Grosse Pointe, Mrs. Arthur Christianson of Fairmont Minn; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o’clock at Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan with the Rev. Warren Jackson of the Congregational church officiating. Masonic graveside services will be conducted by the Palo lodge at Clear Lake cemetery.
