Ionia County News - 17 October  1946
Eugene Decker, 84, lifelong resident of Orleans township, died at his home 
Saturday, Oct. 12, after three weeks serious illness.  He was born in Orleans 
township, April 24, 1862.  December 31, 1884 he was married to Miss Jennie 
Boyd.  Surviving are the widow; three sons, Walter of Lake Odessa, Milton of 
Ionia and Claude of Orleans, and one daughter, Mrs. Harold Robinson of 
Orleans.  Also ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Rev. H. S. Ellis officiated at the funeral service held from Fales-Huffman 
Funeral Home at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 15.  Music was by Mrs. 
Myron Kennedy, Mrs. A. Barden and Mrs. Thomas Rice.  Bearers were Nelson 
Haysmer, Roy Emery, Charles Crane Allen Feller, Rollie Young and John Reeves.   
Burial was in Orleans cemetery.  

The many beautiful flowers were arranged by Mrs. Rollie Young and Mrs. John 
Reeves.
