DARYL DECKER, 61
Daryl Dean Decker, age 61, of Orleans, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 6,
2018

Daryl was born on March 16, 1957 to Dayton and Mildred (Bogert) Decker in Ionia On
July 25, 1981, he married the love of  his life, the former  Julie Venneman. Daryl was an
active member of the Sheridan VFW, he enjoyed farming, going to hockey games, playing
bingo, hunting and playing slot-machines.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Julie; daughter, Amy (Daniel) Rood of
Greenville; brother, Daniel (Phyllis) Decker of Saranac and half-sister, Kristina
(Josh) King of Belding; grandchildren, Alyssa Bear, Jocelyn Rood and T. J. Rood; also surviving
are many nieces and nephews.

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the Lake funeral
Home in Ionia. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial contributions in
Daryl's name can be made to the Sheridan V. F. W. Online condolences can be made at
