Ionia Daily Sentinel - Wednesday, June 5, 1912

Mrs. John DeKwak died last night at the hospital in Ann Arbor where she want 
two weeks ago for an operation. she was 49 years of age and leaves besides her 
husband, two brothers, John and George Schaufele of Grand Rapids and two 
sisters, Tena of Lansing and Mrs. P.J. Shellhorn of Helena, Montana. The 
arrangements for the funeral have not been made.

                  IONIA DAILY SENTINEL - THURSDAY JUNE 6, 1912
The remains of Mrs. John DeDwak were brought to Ionia last night from Ann Arbor 
where her death occurred following a second operation. The funeral will be 
attended from the house at 2 o'clock Friday and from the M.E. church at 2:30, 
Rev. M.M. Callen officiating. Burial in Oak Hill.
