When she was about three years old she moved with her parents to Whitby Co. Indiana. She lived there until 1881 when the family moved to Woodland, Mich. When she was four years old her mother died, her father died five years ago. Eight years ago she moved with her father to Lake Odessa and kept house form him until he died. The last four years she lived with her sister, Mrs. Susie Geiser. Since her father's death she has been quite feeble. She died January 8, 1914 at 9 a.m. at the age of 60 years 6 months 4 days. She was baptized in infancy and after being duly instructed in God's word was confirmed by Rev. Schmoerow. She was a faithful member of the Lutheran church all her life. She leaves her brother, Levi Deeg, her sisters, Mrs. Christina Kindle, Ft. Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Emma Baumann, Toron, Kansas, Mrs. Mary Mills, Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Minnie Feit, Kansas City, Kansas, Mrs. Susie Geiser, Lake Odessa. One sister, Mrs. Lavina McArthur died in New York two years ago. The funeral was conducted at the home of Levi Deeg Saturday January 10 by Rev. G. F. Klidworth. Burial was made in Lakeside cemetery.
