Lake Odessa Wave
          MRS. HANNAH DEEG DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER
   Mrs. Hannah (Schmidt) Deeg, 85, passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Ruth
Kienzle, 565 Cass Ave., Grand Rapids Friday where she had resided since May 23, 1948.  
She was born July 23, 1864, daughter of the late Michael and Christina (Burkle) Schmidt.  
Her husband Levi died eight years ago.  The couple resided here many years before 
moving to Ionia where they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.  She 
later lived in Lansing before going to Grand Rapids.
   Surviving besides Mrs. Kienzle are two other daughters Mrs. Bertha Chipchase of
Lake Odessa and Velma of Lansing;  one brother Frank Smith of Lake Odessa;s  a sister 
Mrs. Mary Neithamer of Woodland;  two grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Funeral 
services were held Monday at 3:30 at the Pickens chapel with burial in Lakeside 
cemetery.  Rev. Wesley Samuelson officiated.
