Mrs. Lucy V. DeFeyter, 88, former resident of Sheridan, died Thursday 
afternoon at Dykhouse convalescent home in Ionia where she had lived since 
1957.  Prior to that she had resided in Lansing 17 years.  

She was married in 1892 to John DeFeyter who died in 1941.  She is survived by 
five daughters, Mrs. William Ravel of Hillman, Mrs. Francis Chichester of 
Trout Lake, Mrs. Lucy Bridinger of Lansing, Mrs. Stewart Holland of Six Lakes 
and Mrs. Lewis Millard of Sheridan; two sons, John DeFeyter of Lansing and 
Francis DeFeyter of Onaway; one sister, Mrs. Martha Hall of Flint; and 147 
grandchildren including 29 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren and 26 great-
great-grandchildren.  

Funeral service will be at 10:30 Monday morning at Stebbins funeral home in 
Sheridan.  Grave service will be at 3 p.m. at Pilgrim Home cemetery chapel in 
Holland.
