Bridge street, Belding. The coroner's jury who will decide the case is composed of C.A. Koerber, D.J. Perrone, Asa Burnett, Edward Krainbrink, William Gemuend, Sr. and D.O. Mellinger. According to Deputy Karl Stearns who investigated, Mrs. Kent was going south on Jefferson and DeHart west on M-21 or Lincoln. The latter said he did not see the oncoming vehicle which struck his car broadside, hurling it across the sidewalk in front of the corner grocery store. Funeral Monday: The victim, a first grade pupil at the nearby Jefferson school, was apparently crushed between the wheels of the two machines. Coroner Myers said she had died instantly. Funeral services were held Monday at the Myers funeral home, in charge of Rev. Clarence A. Brady, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial was at Balcom cemetery in Berlin township. Bearers were Ed. Michals, Robert Kemp, Foster Kenny and Arthur Knickrehn. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Pearl Johnston and Mrs. Glen Piper. Mr. DeHart suffered an injured shoulder and severe cuts on the ear, while Mrs. Kent was treated for shock. Both were released from the Ionia hospital early this week. Witnesses who were interviewed by Deputy Stearns included Mrs. Mae Schamp, Fred French, Fred Mason, Madeline McGee and William Speckin.
