Ionia County News-Thurs. Oct. 1, 1959

HARRY DeHART
Harry DeHart, 73, of 513 Morse Street, Ionia, died Friday, September 25, at his
cottage at Long Lake.

Born January 3, 1886 in Isabella County, he was the son of William and Harriet
(North) DeHart. He was married in 1903 to Ada B. Umbenhaur at Stanton. They spent their
early married life on a farm in the vicinity of Vickeryville until they moved to Ionia in
1921.

Mr. DeHart was employed by the Lombard Coal Company until 1948. He worked at 
Vincent's Greenhouse for two years and retired in 1950.

He was a former member of the Loyal order of the Moose of Ionia.

Surviving are his wife, Ada; one son, Arza DeHart of Long Lake; a daughter, Mrs.
Reva Clements of Long Island, New York; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Monday, September 28, at the Boynton Funeral Home with the

Rev. Alfred P. Miller officiating. Interment was in Balcom Cemetery.
