He was born in Greenville March 19, 1875, and was married to Ida May Brown on March 23, 1898. He lived at the farm west of this city for 36 years before coming to Belding in 1944. Surviving besides the widow is one daughter, Mrs. Irene Lynch, of Lansing; one son, Richard, of Belding, and two grandchildren, Richard of the army medical corps, now in Tokyo, and Howard of Belding. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 3:30 at the Ellis Funeral Home, Rev. H.S. Ellis officiated at the service and burial was in Otisco cemetery. Pallbearers were chosen from their old neighborhood: James Taylor, Lee Luscombe, Michael Connolly, Norman Lee, Carl Granger and Howard McGuire.
