Delano, who had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Allen, since the death of his wife five years ago, was taken severely sick Wednesday noon, and died Sunday at 12:30. The funeral services will be conducted from the Boynton funeral chapel Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock by Rev. W. R. Kendrick. The interment will be in the Easton cemetery. Mr. Delano was born in Kingsville, O,., January 21, 1850, and came with his parents to Easton township when 13 years of age. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Leach October 18, 1875, and they continued to reside in Easton until the death of Mrs. Delano. To this union four children were born, Mrs. Fred Allen and Mrs. Lewis Temple, of Ionia; Mrs. C.E. Driggs, of Lansing, and Mrs. Frank Ledbetter, of Concord, N.C., all of whom survive. Mr. Delano will be greatly missed among the circle of acquaintances, and by his children. Many an evening this winter he had provided entertainment for a social gathering with his violin, playing many of the old selections along with some of the newer ones.
