Ionia Sentinel Standard, 26 Feb 1976

Services for Harry A. DeLaVergne, 85, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Myers-
Roetman funeral home.  Rev. Jack Cook of Lincoln Avenue Baptist church will 
officiate and interment will be at the Lyons cemetery.  Mr. DeLaVergne, 
formerly 181 Adams, died Wednesday morning at the Ionia Manor.

Born in Ionia county April 9, 1890, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman 
DeLaVergne.  He was a self-employed farmer and was also employed by the 
railroad in Ionia.  For many years he was caretaker at the Ionia fairgrounds.  
His only survivors are nieces and nephews.  

Family members will be at the funeral home Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
