The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, October 23, 1970


Mrs. Anna E. Dell, 94, of Woodland died early Thursday morning at Pennock 
hospital in Hastings shortly after admittance.  Born in East Saginaw, December 
13, 1875, she was the daughter of Rev. Johann and Anna List Fochs.  A graduate 
of Ionia county normal she had taught in the Sunfield area.

She was married to John Dell, October 11, 1899 and he died October 23, 1954.  
She was a resident of Woodland area many years being a member of Woodland 
United Methodist church and its WSCS, and WCTU, also a charter member of 
Woodland Womens Study club and Woodland OES.

Survivors are a son, Elwyn R. of Wayne and daughter, Dorothy Dell at home; one 
grandchild.

Funeral services will be Saturday at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa.  
Rev. Claude Ridley will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside cemetery.
