One disease after another, pneumonia perhaps being most prominent, has kept the child from getting the usual blessing of childhood. Everything was continually done for her happiness, health and restoration but death finally-- was brought by Wortly & Baine to the home of her grandparents Tuesday where the funeral was held Thursday afternoon. Rev. R. A. Hoffman officiated and Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Goodemoot and Miss Helen Goodsell furnished the music. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery. Betty Ilene Demaray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merl Demaray, was born July 3, 1922 at Lake Odessa, and died at Ann Arbor hospital early Tuesday morning, March 16, aged nine years, eight months and 12 days. For the three years the family have lived in Jackson where little Betty attended school. Six weeks ago she was stricken with crysipelas complicated with Bright’s disease. Everything possible was done for the little sufferer but recovery was impossible. She was of a sunny disposition and beloved by all who knew her. Besides her parents, she leaves a little sister, grnadpartnes, and other relatives and friends. Card of Thanks (Thursday, March 24, 1932) We greatly appreciate the kindness and sympathy of our friends and neighbors for flowers and those who helped serve dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Metzger, also the services of the Rev. Hoffman and beautiful singing by Mr. and Mrs. Russell W. Goodemoot, music furnished by Miss Helen Goodsell, and those who furnished cars at the time of the funeral of our loved one.
