Excerpts from Greenville Obituary

RAY DEMEESTER

Died Monday, April 13, 2026-age 86 at Saranac, MI. with his daughter & son-in-
law at his side.
Survived by his children, Kim (Dan) Newell, Cynthia Meester, Mark DeMeester, and 
granddaughters Samantha Newell & Daniell Newell.
Ray moved his young family to the Saranac area in 1978 to a farm on M21.
He took great pride when his granddaughters went on to their own life endeavors.
The farm provided a wonderful place to enjoy nature, animals & his favorite 
hobby, hunting.
Ray loved business & started the Advanced Modular Homes in the 1990's.
He became a substitute teacher at Saranac & Ionia schools in recent years & 
adored the kids.
A celebration of Life is planned for Thursday, April 23 from 3pm-7pm at Keene 
Township Hall, 8505 Potters Rd, Saranac,MI 48881.
