Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Balcom cemetery

Port Huron- Nadene B. Demond, 57, of Port Huron, died Friday evening at Port 
Huron General Hospital following a short illness.

She was born in Ionia, April 4, 1921, the daughter of Reinhart and Meta Kosbar 
Schroeder. The family moved to Lansing and returned to Ionia in 1936 where she 
graduated in 1939 from Ionia high school.

She worked at AC Spark Plug factory in Ionia during World War II.

She was married to Lloyd Demond in Ionia on April 20, 1946. They made their 
home in Ionia for a few years and in the past 20 years has lived in port Huron. 

She is survived by one son, Douglas of Warren; one daughter, Darlene Demond of 
Port Huron; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bruce (Loraine) Walther of 
Saginaw and Mrs. Harold (Oneta) Ruehs of Ionia. 

Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday from Leddick Funeral Home with Rev. Leo 
Kostizen of St. John Lutheran Church officiating.

Interment in Balcom Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home 7 pm to 9 pm 
Saturday and 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm Sunday.
