Jonathon Andrew Dempsey, 30, of Belding, died Monday, November 28, 2005.  He 
was preceded in death by grandfather, Andrew J. Dempsey, in 1973; uncle, David 
Hiler, in 2003; and aunt, Rayna Hiler, in 2005.  

He is survived by his wife, Heather Jo; three children, Dominic, Autumn and 
Jordon; parents, Chris and Milly Dempsey of Gowen, Lynda and Pete Nelson of 
Alabama; brothers and sisters, Robby and Melissa Dempsey, Heather and Michael 
Deton, all of Alabama, Terra McMillan, Anthony McMillan, Kristen Dempsey, all 
of Gowen; great-grandmother, Francis DeBlaay of Sheridan; grandparents, Sue and 
Wally Oswald of Sheridan, Harold Naffziger of Gowen, Pat and Don Hiler of Grand 
Rapids; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial services is 11 a.m. Thursday at First united Methodist Church, 227 
E. Fulton St., Grand Rapids.  Memorial contributions may be made to the 
memorial fund for John Dempsey’s children through Huntington Bank or to the 
National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
