Ionia Sentinel, 11 Jul 1974

Mrs. Joyce DenHouten, 66, of route 1, Saranac, died Wednesday afternoon at 
Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids after being a patient three weeks.

Born in Berlin township January 15, 1919, she was the daughter of Henry and 
Louella Munger Fisher and was a lifelong resident of the area.  She attended 
the West Berlin Methodist church.  November 15, 1939, she was married in Ionia 
to Leonard DenHouten.

Surviving besides the husband Leonard, are a daughter, Mrs. Diane Bowers of 
Stanton and son, Gerald of Ionia; three grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Rachel 
Marker of Saranac; two brothers, Merl Fisher of Saranac, and Roy L. Fisher of 
Clarksville.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops funeral 
chapel in Lake Odessa.  Rev. Alvin Barker will officiate and interment will be 
at Cascade cemetery at Cascade.
