Smith-Inland in Ionia. Coroner Dale Kauffman said death was due to a heart attack. He was born in Lowell, October 16, 1911, the son of Clyde and Mary Langdon Dennie and attended Grand Ledge school. August 26, 1935, he was married to Imogene Cottrell of Lyons. He was a cost estimator at A.O. Smith-Inland and its predecessor where he was employed for 28 years. Besides his wife, Imogene, he leaves a son, Joseph, Jr., at home and daughter, Mrs. Janice White of Lyons; three grandchildren; one brother, Harold Dennie of Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Jarvis of Charlotte and Mrs. Evelyn Whitmore of California. Mr. Dennie will be at Shaw Rivett Hull funeral home until noon Monday when he will be taken to Lyons United Methodist church for services at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Lyons cemetery.
