Hasting's Reminder - Saturday July 13, 2024

JOYCE JUNE DENNIE, age 91, of Lake Odessa, MI passed away on Friday, June 14, 
2024.

Joyce was born on July 5, 1932 to Ernest and Mabel (Frazier) Newman in Lansing, 
MI. She was an avid bowler in Lake Odessa and was the League Secretary for many 
years and an excellent bowler for 60 plus years. Traveling to National's many 
times over the years.

Joyce was a hard worker and worked at Smith Brothers Elevators in Woodland. HSV 
Redimix and at Twin City Foods.In retirement she went back to help the 
Commission on Aging in Hastings.

She leaves behind children Douglas (Sandy) Needham and Donald (Mary) Dennie; 15 
grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; special 
niece, Bonnie Edsall and great niece, Kim Badgett.

Joyce was preceded in death by he parents; children, David Dennie, Dale Dennie, 
Dean Dennie and daughter, Deb Needham; grandson, Dylan Dennie, siblings, Ernest 
Newman and Donna Wells.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, 11 AM. until 1 p.m. at Koops 
Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa,MI.

Memorials to the Barry County Commission on Aging or the Woodland Eagles in 
Joyce's name would be appreciated.
