Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 26 Aug 1943

James Denning, 77, died Wednesday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth 
McGerah, at Collins.  Born in Orange township in 1866, he was a lifelong 
resident of the community.  For many years he resided on a farm in Ionia 
township.

Funeral services will be held at the Bradley funeral home Friday morning at 8 
o’clock and at SS. Peter and Paul church at 9, with interment in Mt. Olivet 
cemetery.

Surviving is the sister.
