Thane Dennis, 68, and former custodian at Twin Rivers school died unexpectedly
Thursday from an apparent heart attack at his rural Muir home.  Mr. Dennis was a
member of Lyons Masonic lodge and president of North Plains Cemetery association
and had been married to the former Mildred Ross since May 7, 1933.  He retired
as a school custodian about three years ago.

Surviving besides his wife are four sons, Robert and Gordon of Ionia, Dale of
Carson City, and William of Muir; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Smith of Grand
Rapids, Jeanine Rogers of Ionia, and Diane Stout of Muir.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. July 8 at North Plains church, the Rev.
Norman Wibert of Lyons officiating.  The body is at Estep funeral home, Muir,
where friends and relatives may call Friday and Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and
Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Burial will be in North Plains cemetery.
