Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Aug 1971

Norwood Dennis, 63, known as Andy, died unexpectedly at his cottage Spring Lake
in Montcalm county Thursday evening.  He was born in Muir, May 25, 1908, the son
of William and Myrtle Connor Dennis.  He was married to Mary Smith and after her
death married Virgilene A. Hansen, December 27, 1956.  He attended Muir schools
and was a retired business man having operated the Dennis Market at 5900 North
State road.

Surviving are his wife, Virgilene, three daughters, Mrs. Ted Strickling of Grand
Ledge, Mrs. Louis Bott of Lansing, and Mrs. Fred Miller of Ionia; a son, S-Sgt.
Norman H. Dennis, who is serving in Vietnam; 19 grandchildren.  Also surviving
are three step-sons, Bruce Hansen of California, Merton Hansen of Gowen and
Merle Hansen of Belding; eight step grandchildren; and brother, Thane Dennis of
Muir.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Stone-Kauffman funeral home.
