Norman H. Dennis, 68, of Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at James 
A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, Fla.

He was born November 14, 1939 in Ionia, Mich., the son of the late Norwood 
Dennis and Mary Smith Dennis. He was a member of Northeast Baptist Church 
where he was a deacon. He retired from the US Army and served two tours in 
Vietnam. He also retired from DynCorp at Ft. Campbell Air Field. Mr. Dennis 
was a member of the Blind Veterans Association and the DAV #45.

Survivors include his wife Bettie Dennis, four sons, a daughter, a sister, two 
grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19 at Northeast Baptist 
Church with Rev. Paul Eaves as officiant. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans 
Cemetery West with full military rites. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge 
of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Robert Newcomb, Paul Allen, John Lyle, Tom Hancock, Robert 
Henderson, Jerald Rhodes, J.D. Smith and Richard Akers. Honorary pallbearers 
were Sam O'Neal and Andy Hollis.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to 
DAV #45, Clarksville, TN, 37040 or to Northeast Baptist Church. Arrangements 
entrusted to Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home.
