William Ross Dennis, 67, of Lyons, passed away Dec. 13, 2013.  He was born 
March 23, 1946, in St. Johns, the son of Thane and Mildred Dennis.

William married Karen (Loucks) on March 12, 1966, in Ionia.  William loved 
fishing, hunting, and watching his grandchildren play ball.  He also loved 
playing jokes on his family and friends.

William is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Craig (Michele); grandchildren, 
Josh, Aaron, Katelynn, Brittany, Josh, Jordan and Tyler; three step-
grandchildren; one great grandson; sisters and brothers, Paulline (Frank) 
Smith, Bob Dennis, Dale (Beth) Dennis, Janine (Dave) Rogers, Diane (Kenny) 
Stout and Gordon (Cheryl) Dennis; sister and brother-in-laws, Cheryl (Dave) 
Pinnow; and many nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his son, 
Robbie, and parents, Thane and Mildred.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Lake 
Funeral Home of Ionia, with Pastor Greg Gladding officiating.  Visitation will 
be held one hour prior to services.  In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing may 
make contributions to family choice.
