The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, November 16, 1960
Funeral service for Herbert John Dennis, 85, who died Friday morning at his 
home north of Muir, was held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian church in 
Muir.  The Rev. Raymond Bittner officiated.  Funeral arrangements were made by 
the Estep funeral home.  Bearers were James Struble, Lyle Bissell, Robert 
Lowery, Bradley Dinehart, Ernest Ludwick and Herbert Denning.  Interment was 
at Muir cemetery.

Out of town persons attending were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Smith and Lyle Wright of 
Blanchard, Mr. and Mrs. Wendul Heemstra of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard 
Dennis of Lansing, Norwood Dennis of Fenwick, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Brown of 
Charlotte, Suzanne Little of Palo, Mr. and Mrs. Winston Lehman of Brighton, 
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Seabrook, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Ritchy, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert 
Denning and Sherry Rivers of Ionia.
