The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, November 26, 1962
Archie Denny, 77, died at his Saranac home Sunday.  He was born in Kent 
County, June 1, 1885 and had spent most of his life in Saranac.  He was 
custodian in Saranac school district 22 years and until his recent illness.  
He had been confined at Ferguson-Droste hospital in Grand Rapids.

Surviving are his wife, Irene; three sons, Lyle Denny of Saranac, Bert of 
Portland, and Glen of Marion, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Josephine 
Converse of Grand Rapids.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Morris funeral home with the 
Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating.  Burial will be at Saranac cemetery.  Bearers 
will be Harry Dodds. Arthur Best, Glen Adgate, L.G. Hunter, Ed Scott and 
Sheldon Cahoon.
