Denslow, age 74 of Remus, crossed over on Monday evening, January 12, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. Milton was the third son of Milford and Magial (Cullimore) Denslow. He was born June 11, 1934 on the family farm in Remus. The farm was known as the Sunrise Potato Farm and he took pride in his heritage. Milton Graduated from Remus Consolidated High School in 1953 and shortly after enlisted in the United States Army where he was honorably discharged. After his tour of duty, he worked for the State Lab until he was hired by General Motors where he spent the next 26 years retiring in 1988. Milton’s marriage to JoAnn Marcin began in Hell, Michigan on June 12, 1967. They lived in Lansing and Charlotte before making their home and raising their three sons in Ionia while Milt worked at GM. In 1993 they moved to Remus where he raised horses and helped take care of his father until his passing. As a family they looked forward to building a float every year for the Remus Heritage Days parade- and they have the trophies to prove it. In his late 30’s Milton joined the same Masonic lodge his father belonged to Masonic Lodge #454 of Remus and was a 3rd Degree Mason. He loved snowmobiling, motorcycles, his speed boat when he was younger, hunting, going to bear camp and fishing. Milton was mechanically inclined and a good welder. Above all Milton was joyful in the time he spent with his family showing them what it was like to be generous and giving and teaching them how to be reliable and honest. This unique and humble man will be forever remembered by his adoring wife of 41 ½ years JoAnn of Remus, His beloved sons; Christopher (Kim) of Mt. Pleasant, Stacey (Samantha) of Muskegon, and Randolph (Shannon) of Orleans, 8 grandchildren: Corey (Breanna), Matthew, Olivia, Justin, Xavier, Kaylix, Hanna and Isaac, great grandchildren; Taven and baby Ashlyn on the way. He is also survived by his brothers; Keith (Dorothy) and Rex (Janet), sister; Dorma Townsend (Richard Fisher), sister-in-law Mildred (Elden) Jansen an Aunt Lila Denslow and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Donald and a nephew Steven. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with a Masonic Service and Military Honors. The family will greet friends from at 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
