Marian I. Densmore, 61, of Portland, loving wife, mother, and grandmother,
passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 9, 2008.  She was born on Sept. 16, 1946
in Wauseon, Ohio to Marion and Sue (Holton) Richardson.  Marian was a member of
Mount Hope Church in Portland and owned and operated Marian’s Place/Nails By Us
in Portland for many years.  She married Robert J. Densmore, Jr. on June 28,
1969 and together they shared 39 years of marriage.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tommy Richardson. 
Surviving are her husband, Robert of Portland; two children, Christy (Dean)
Slack of Carson City and Andrew (Theresa) Densmore of Sunfield; one very special
person she considered her son, Kurt Young and his daughter Alyssa; two
grandchildren, Donnie and Mya; siblings, Phyllis (John) Deitz of Kentucky,
Dolores (Robert) Lawhon of Kentucky, and Gary (Nadine) Richardson of Georgia;
several nieces and nephews.  

The funeral service was conducted by Pastor Joe Robbeon Aug. 14 at Mount Hope
Church, 845 Ionia Road, Portland.  Inurnment will take place at a later date at
Portland Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral
Home, Portland.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the
Mount Hope church in Portland or to Heartland Hospice in memory of Marian I.
