Eugene R. Densmore, 53, of Portland died Sept. 4, 1997.  He was born Nov. 9,
1943 in Lansing, the son of Herbert and Rhea (Cusack) Densmore.  He was a member
of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; one daughter, Melissa (Robert) Fox of
Fowlerville; one son, Kirk A. Densmore of Portland; one grandson, Nicholas; and
one sister, Beverly (Michael) Benbow of Sunfield.

The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at St.
Patrick’s Catholic Church, 140 Church St., Portland with Father Troy A. Nevins
officiating.  The Rite of Committal will be held in Portland Cemetery.  The
family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Neller Chapel, 210
Bridge St., Portland on Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9
p.m.  Those desiring may make contributions to Visiting Nurse Services,
Homecare, Hospice and Privatecare, 1122 W. Holmes, Suite 1, Lansing, 48910, or
to the family, in memory of Mr. Densmore.
