Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Dec 1969

Mrs. Minnie Densmore, an Ionia county centenarian from Saranac who celebrated
her 100th birthday little more than a week ago, died early Monday at Belding’s
Christian Rest home where she had been living since last summer.  Born in the
Saranac area December 6, 1869, Mrs. Densmore was widely known for her skill as a
seamstress, a trade she worked at in her home approximately 75 years.

Mrs. Densmore has no known surviving relatives.  Until recently she lived in her
home on Church street in Saranac, but due to advanced age moved to Belding rest
home where she celebrated her 100th birthday anniversary.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, from Morris-Roetman funeral home
in Saranac with Rev. John Hancock of Saranac community church officiating. 
Burial will be in Saranac cemetery.
