DePue, 50, of Crystal, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at his sister’s home, Wyoming. “God saw me getting weary and a cure was not to be. So he wrapped His arms around me and whispered, ‘Come Home With Me.’” He was born April 15, 1951, in St. Johns, the son of Dennis and Mary Ann Kohn DePue. He retired from Frigidaire after 27 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Hubbardston, and was an avid golfer and softball player. He also loved his ’78 Corvette, both restoring and driving it. He is survived by five children, Jamie Ferretti of Holt, Amy Andrews of Crystal, Stanley and Jessica DePue of Belding, Trent DePue of Grand Rapids, Kent DePue of Lakeview; eight grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Tom Tran of Wyoming, Denise and Lynn Sabin of Matherton, Sarah and Ken Compo of Ionia; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Alice DePue of Orleans, Stephan and Connie DePue of Edmore, Dennis and Shelby DePue of Beulah, Peter Michael DePue of Muir; his stepmother, Lorraine DePue of Greenville; three stepsisters and stepbrothers-in-law, Carol Dow of Morley, Cheryl and Carl Morgan of Greenville, Lori and Keith Dow of Harvard; a special aunt and uncle, Carol and Joel Lebeck of Sidney; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Patrick Lee Kohn. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Hubbardston, with Father William Reitz officiating. Interment is in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Thursday.
