The  Ionia Daily Standard, Thursday, March 10, 1892

Mrs. J. DeQuack was well and happy on the 2d inst.  Dr. Logan, the attending 
physician, says she was attacked by influenzia on the 3d, and by paralysis of 
the muscles of deglutition and phonation on the 4th.  The heart action became 
very frequent and weak, the nervous system depressed, and the pupils dilated.  
The lungs were not affected by tubercles, abscess or any other disease.  She 
died at 2:30 p.m. on the 9th.  Funeral at 2 p.m. on Friday, from the M.E. 
church.
