Mrs. Maude I. Derby, 73, wife of Carl O. Derby, died at her home at 124 East 
street, Portland, Sunday morning.

Mr. Derby has been affiliated with the Maynard-Allen bank in Portland over 50 
years.

Mrs. Derby was a member of Portland Congregational church and Congregational 
guild.

Survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. Harry Bullis of Chanute Air Force Base, 
Illinois; a son, Richard W. Derby of Portland, and four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at Neller funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with burial 
at Portland cemetery.  The Rev. J. Herbert Kinsey of Grandville and Rev. James 
H. Eddleston of Portland will officiate.  Bearers will be Vernor Smith, William 
Pryor, Hilton Kiebler, Malcolm Robertson, Bard Fish and James Castle.
