The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, May 3, 1937

Committal services for Mrs. Hattie C. Derthick of Whittier, Cal., will be held 
on Wednesday  morning, May 5, at 11 o’clock at the Highland Park cemetery.  
Rev. Earl Kneebone will officiate.

Mrs. Derthick died February 6, 1937, at the age of 84 years.  She was the wife 
of Charles B. Derthick, who died in 1904.  Mrs. Derthick was a resident of 
Ionia until 18 years ago when she went to California to make her home with her 
daughter, Mrs. Sarah Rowe, of Norwalk, Cal.  She was a cousin of William H…..
(illegible)…of Ionia, and was a member of the Eastern Star.
