The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, November 15, 2007


Shirley Deschaine, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, age 79, of Ionia, 
passed away after a brief illness, Nov. 13, 2007.

She was born Nov. 13, 1928 in Rockford, Ill. the daughter of Maurice and 
Myrtle (Norlin) Johnson. She married William C. Deschaine, Sr. July 11, 1952.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bill Deschaine, of Ionia; 
son, Bill (Denise) Deschaine of Ionia; daughters, Cheryl Deschaine of Lansing 
and Stacey (James) Bovee of Ionia and four grandchildren, Billy, Andy, Shane 
and Taylor.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Upon her request, a private family service will be held at a later date. 
Memorial contributions may be made to Ionia Lansing Area Hospice or Hall-
Fowler Memorial Library.  Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
