Lake Odessa Wave - October 8, 1964
          JOHN DESGRANGES 17 FATALLY INJURED

   

   John Desgranges 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Desgranges of Eaton Rapids was
fatally injured Saturday 
night in a one car accident along with three other teenagers of that community.  The
driver of the car is in the 
Eaton Rapids Community Hospital and listed in fair condition.  According to Eaton
County officers the driver 
lost control of the car on a curve, hit a tree and rolled over. Eaton County coroner
said the four died at the 
scene of the accident and Desgranges died of a skull fracture.

   Surviving are his parents; two brothers Donald and Dennis and two sisters Sue
Ellen and Vonda all at home 
and two grandmothers Mrs. J. W. (Ruth) Desgranges of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Harry
Cochran of Charlotte.

   Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Pettit Funeral home at Eaton Rapids
with burial n Lakeside 
cemetery, Lake Odessa.
