Detmers, originally of Lowell, now residing in Greenville and Lake Placid, Fla. Passed away Saturday, Aug 17, 2002. Born Nov. 3, 1922 in Keene Township, Paul was a dedicated farmer and founding member of the BPO Elks of Lake Placid, Fla. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Elsie; loving daughters and their families, Karlene and Ron Redder of Kentwood, Berdie and Jim Cook of Lowell and Paula and Dan Kruger of Ionia; his grandchildren, Laurie and Scott Floyd, Jamie and Christopher Frain, Jennifer and Aaron Kik, Cindy and John Wildeboer, Zachary Kruger and Meagen Strouse, Noah and Jedidiah Kruger; sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Lewis Gasper of Belding; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena Groenenboom of Grand Rapids, John and Eileen Essenburg of Ada, Frank and Elva Middlebrook of Belding, and Carolyn Hansma of New York; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. The funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell with Rev. William Amundsen officiating. Interment is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
