Dever, 60, of Belding, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, November 3, 2007 at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Hospital. He was born February 11, 1947, in Belding, the son of Forrest and Jena Kibler Dever. Ron proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a talented man who was able to build and fix things and was a good carpenter. He loved to talk, spend time in his garden and really enjoyed cooking when he knew lots of people were going to be around. He also enjoyed his pet rooster named “Bug- Bug.” Ron will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was married on Jan. 14, 2004, in Grand Haven, to Charlotte Trebian. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughter, Lisa Sisson; grandson, Nikkolaus; brothers, John and Judy Dever of North Carolina and Tom and Shirley Dever of Belding. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service with full military honors by Belding VEW Post 4406 will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Kendall Harger officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the wishes of the family.
