Robert Eugene Devers, 41, 518 Fuller Street, Lyons, died December 4, as a result
of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  He was born July 28, 1943, in
Grand Rapids, the son of John and Gladys Devers.    He attended Lyons High
School and was a Navy veteran of the Cuban crisis.  He married Helen Clark in
January 1963 in Muir.  He had been a forklift driver for Oldsmobile since 1964.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Michael of Lyons; two daughters, Connie Guild
of Ionia and Shelly Devers of Lyons; two grandchildren; his father, John Devers
of Ionia; his mother, Gladys Womboldt of Muir; two brothers, John Devers of
Fenwick and Rick Devers of Sheridan; and one sister, Sharon Dukes of Saranac. 

He was an eight-year member of the Lyons Fire Department.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lyons Baptist church with Rev.
Paul Carmichael officiating.  Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery.  Until noon
Saturday, the body will repose at the Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir.
