Geitz, of Detroit, were held Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the K. Arthur Rivett home in Muir. Rev. Gerald Jacobs, pastor of Lyons Methodist church, was officiating minister and burial was in Lyons cemetery. Pallbearers were Alfred Paxon, George Staley, B.W. Grove, V.F. Upton, Wilmot Loveless and H.M. Kelley. Mrs. Devore was born June 8, 1870 in Plainwell and was the daughter of Patrick and Martha Duhig and moved with her parents to Lyons at the age of ten. March 2, 1892, she was married to Dr. Ransom P. Devore, of Lyons and the couple had made their home there until his death, February 13, 1912. Since then, she had spent the winter months with her daughter in Detroit, and the summer months at her home in Lyons. Two years ago she had gone to live with her daughter because of ill health. She suffered a stroke January 25 and had been in a coma until her death Wednesday morning. She was a member of Lyons Methodist church, a charter member of Evergreen chapter OES, who attended funeral services in a body. She was also a member of Ionia White Shrine and had been a former member of Lyons Research club. Surviving besides the daughter, Mrs. Geitz, is a sister, Mrs. Ella Olmstead of Portland.
