CAROLYN JANE DEVRIES 1955 - 2016
Carolyn Jane DeVries age 61, of Ionia, passed away Nov. 2, 2016 in Holland. She was
born April 7, 1955 in Belding, Michigan the daughter of Mearl and Betty (Hawley) Hopkins.

Carolyn married Carl DeVries September of 1993.

She loved Bible Study and Christian Music.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Carl DeVries of Ionia;
Children, Rob (Cheryl) Nash of Jenison, Becky (Julio) Ramos of Holland, Daniel R. DeVries of 
Ionia and Zane DeVries of Ionia; grandchildren, Ashley, Amber Keisha, Rylan, J.C., Izabelle,
Carter, Devon, Keira and Ethan; great grandchildren, Chloe, Paisley, Vallerie and  Ivy; and
sisters, Diane (George)Anderson of Greenville, twin sister, Carol Steggerda of Ionia and
Deborah Hesselink of Edmore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Mearl Hopkins Jr.; and one 
granddaughter, Janie. 

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday Nov. 7, at the Lake funeral Home in
Ionia. Interment Balcom Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 11 a.m. until time of service
at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a Go Fund Me Account in
