The Ionia County News, Thursday, March 21, 1935

The funeral of Mrs. John DeWesse, of Lansing, was held Wednesday afternoon, 
March 20, from Stebbins funeral home, Ionia.

Bertha Ellison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ellison, of Keene township, 
was born in 1903, and was 32 years old at the time of her death, which 
occurred in St. Lawrence hospital, Lansing, Sunday morning, March 17.  Her 
marriage to John DeWesse, of Lansing, occurred in 1925.

Besides her husband, she leaves five children, Jacqueline, Thomas, Gerald, 
Elmer and Melbourne; her father, William Ellison, of Keene; two brothers, 
William Ellison, of Detroit, Fred Ellison, of Ionia, and a sister, Mrs. Frank 
Bell, Stanton.
