Harold A. (Bud) DeWitt, aged 82, of Saranac, went to be with his Lord 
Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008.   Bud loved to golf and had a passion for fishing and 
tying flies; he also served with the U.S. Army in France during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine, stepdaughter and son-in-
law, Cheryl and Donald Alexander and his sister, Patricia Sheldon.  Surviving 
are his wife of 29 years, Beverly; his children, Linda (Doug) Marker, Terry 
(Robin) DeWitt, Denny DeWitt, Cheryl (Mitch) McNeal, Chris Bierlein, Cindy 
(Dan) Bolhuis; stepchildren, Kim (Rick) Triplett, Catherine (David) Wisner, 
Chris (Dean) Pampanio, Sue (Tim) Hendrick, many grandchildren and great-
grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Helen Carpenter and Connie Hagg; special 
nephew, Doug Coverston and many other nieces and nephews. 

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Service of 
Remembrance will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 6 p.m. at Saranac Community 
Church, 125 Bridge St. with Rev. John Madvig officiating.  Relatives and 
friends may meet his family at the church one hour before the service.
