Daily Sentinel-Standard - Friday, Oct. 24, 1949

Charles Austin Dexter, 69, retired Belding painter, was found dead in his bed 
at 5:30 a. m. Friday, death being attributed by Coroner Dale Kauffman of Ionia 
as result of a heart attack.

Coroner Kauffman said Dexter probably died about 1 a. m. Friday.

Dexter was a painter by trade but had been retired for the past 10 years. 

He is survived by his wife, a son, Dexter and a daughter, Mrs. Irene Palmer of 
Greenville.

Funeral arrangements are being made at Fitzjohn funeral home at Belding.

Deputy Sheriff Ben Neve investigated the death with Coroner Kauffman.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the 
Fales-Huffman funeral chapel with the Rev. Gustave Ferre, Baptist minister, 
officiating. Interment will be in River Ridge cemetery.
