Ionia Sentinel Standard - Monday June 2, 1969

                                Lena L.DeYoung

SARANAC- Mrs.Lena L.DeYoung, 77, of 6274 Bluewater highway, Saranac, died Sunday 
afternoon at Ionia Manor.

She was born August 25, 1891 in the Netherlands, moving to Grand Rapids as a 
child. Married  June 8, 1911 in Grand Rapids she moved to Saranac in 1941 and 
had lived there since.One son Cornelius died in the  service of his country in 
France in 1945.

She leaves her husband Robert, five sons George of Saranac, Isaac and Fred of 
Grand Rapids, Robert of Guatamala, Leonard of Durand; and three daughters, 
Mrs.Jacob Kruizenga and Mrs.Wilson Fulwiler both of Grand Rapids, Mrs.Melvin 
Liebbe of Otsego; one sister Mrs.Mary Koert of Ada; 20 grandchildren and 17 
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Morris-Roetman Funeral Home in 
Saranac. Burial will be in Fairplains Cemetery at Grand Rapids.

Bearers will be Timothy DeYoung, Russell Fulwiler, Daniel Kruizenga, Michael, 
Mark and Case DeYoung.
